THE WORLD'S BIGGEST GUIDE DOG
For the first time, Gulliver the World's Biggest Guide Dog will be in South Australia to help raise awareness of our services.
Guide Dogs NSW/ACT has built a giant model dog to replicate the iconic, fibreglass model guide dog collection boxes that have been found in shopping centres since the 1970s.
The biggest of his kind in the world, the giant model dog was unveiled in Sydney in March 2010.
Made of foam and coated in fibreglass, Gulliver weighs 690 kilograms, stands 4.3 metres tall on his trailer, which is 2.3 metres wide and 5 metres long.
Since March 2010, Gulliver has travelled almost 5,000kms across eastern Australia helping raise awareness of the free services Guide Dogs provides for people living with a vision impairment.
