SERVICES FOR ADULTS WITH HEARING LOSS
Hearing Services provides assistance and support to any adult who has a hearing impairment or who has both a vision and hearing loss.
We can also educate family members and other interested people about hearing loss, the effects, and services available at Guide Dogs SA.NT and in the community.
Our team of qualified, professional and experienced staff members design individual programs for adults with hearing loss to suit their lifestyle and goals.
WE PROVIDE:
- Individual, tailored services based on the client's needs
- Training in groups and individually to learn communication tactics, assertive behaviours, speech reading and tips on managing hearing loss
- Information and training on a wide range of listening aids and equipment
- Support for family members
- Education and training for families, workplaces and professionals
INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS
Hearing Services provides one-on-one hearing advisory sessions to discuss individual needs and the options available. Sessions can be tailored to people with more complex needs, for example, someone with both a hearing and vision loss.
Education sessions are also provided to family, friends and carers.
COUNTRY SERVICES
Hearing Services is committed to providing regular, quality services to people in regional areas. We have developed links and partnerships with organisations in rural areas, including community health services and other allied health professionals in country South Australia.

All services are provided FREE to clients
