Guide Dogs SA.NT's Hearing Services has developed a range of specialised courses and information sessions to assist people with a hearing loss and their families.
Conducted by our qualified, supportive staff, the courses run as one, 2-hour session per week for five weeks.
Group numbers are kept small to maximise the benefit to participants.
Effective Management of Hearing Loss Courses are conducted in a group environment or individual sessions - depending on the needs of the client.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
Workplace Modification
Hearing Services are able to assist people to access equipment to manage their hearing loss in the workplace.
People are encouraged to attend an appointment with a Rehabilitation Coordinator to assess their personal requirements particular to their hearing loss and workplace. Devices can be trialled and a recommendation is prepared for equipment to be used in the workplace.
Funding can be obtained through the workplace Modification Scheme via Job Access www.jobaccess.gov.au
Guide Dogs Hearing Services is then able to provide the approved equipment and training for the individual.
Professional Training
Hearing Services provides customised training packages for professionals working with people with a hearing loss. The training focuses on hearing loss, communication strategies, hearing devices and a hands-on workshop with hearing aids.
