WHEN GLASSES JUST AREN'T ENOUGH

Have you lost some of your vision?

Our Occupational Therapists and Orthoptists can teach people who are blind, or have a vision impairment, independent living skills.

They work on an individual basis with clients providing assistance with:

  • Magnification provision and training
  • Functional Vision Assessment
  • Vision Counselling
  • Daily living activities
  • Adaptive aids
  • Lighting recommendations

WE CAN HELP

Our staff provides practical help, advice and equipment to assist with daily living.

Perhaps you are having problems with:

  • Crossing the road
  • Cooking meals
  • Travelling on public transport
  • Hobbies like knitting, sewing or bowls
  • Shopping
  • Watching TV
  • Walking up and down stairs.

RANGE OF EQUIPMENT

We have a range of equipment to help people with low vision including:

  • Magnifiers
  • Large print and tactile daily living aids
  • Talking clocks and watches
  • Large print playing cards
  • Needle threaders
  • Liquid level indicators (useful for making hot drinks safely).
