The Cornerstone To All That We Are

November 16, 2017
A yellow Guide Dog walking in a brown leather harness.

The cornerstone of all that we are is, of course, the Guide Dog and the evolution of its role as companion and liberator for people with vision loss.

We have grown and learned from them and have refined our program to produce the best of the best.

Black and golden labradors are the dogs of preference used in the Guide Dogs breeding programme.  This is for a number of reasons; they have the required temperament are good-natured, eager to please and will do anything for a food reward! Selective breeding produces pups with the physique, strength and nature most likely to succeed as a Guide Dog.
