We need your loving support more than ever
We receive just over 30% Government funding for the vital services we provide to the community and none for any of our dog services. Considering it costs in excess of $30,000 to train each Guide Dog and that the need for what we do is greater and more important than ever, so is your support.
We’d have nowhere to go without our generous fundraisers
As Guide Dogs provides services at no cost to the clients, we rely heavily on the public’s generosity to make up our funding shortfall.
Each year, generous and dedicated supporters help change the lives of individuals living with disability by holding their own fundraising events for Guide Dogs.
It is only with their help that we can continue to provide Guide Dogs and other services for people with sensory loss, FREE OF CHARGE.
The most rewarding events of all
By holding your own fund raising event you can help provide mobility and independence to individuals living with sensory disability, as well as safety, inclusion and comfort for children with autism and be of great assistance to their families.
Where do your funds go?
As a fundraiser you may select a specific project to target your proceeds to, and we will make sure your gift is designated in accordance with your wishes. Or you may wish to leave it to us to designate your gift to the areas of greatest need.
Whether you choose to sponsor a puppy and support the training of Guide Dogs or Autism Assistance Dogs, fund services that help individuals with sensory loss remain independent, or any of the other services provided by Guide Dogs, we will stay in touch and keep you updated.
Your efforts and kindness can help fund:
- Life Skills Camps for children with vision loss
- much needed equipment such as specialised technology to help individuals with vision loss
- equipment for the Puppy Development Centre – we are always in need of educational toys and equipment to give pups the best start in life.
