Guide Dogs SA/NT is thrilled to announce the launch of a two-year charity partnership with Adelaide Oval! This collaboration provides a unique opportunity to raise funds and awareness for our work enhancing community participation, inclusion and wellbeing for South Australians living with vision impairment, other sensory impairment, and the families of children with autism.

Chief Executive Officer of Guide Dogs SA/NT, Aaron Chia, said the organisation is proud to partner with Adelaide Oval.

‘Guide Dogs SA/NT and Adelaide Oval are two iconic South Australian brands with a strong history of supporting social inclusion,’ Mr Chia said. ‘This partnership is an exciting opportunity to align our values and create a more vibrant and accessible community here in Adelaide.’

CEO of Adelaide Oval Stadium Management Authority, Andrew Daniels, said it was fantastic to be able to team up with an organisation that has been voted Australia’s most trusted charity for the past six years.

‘We’re delighted we can support Guide Dogs SA/NT and help them to continue the vital work they do in enhancing the quality of life of people living with disability,’ he said.

‘The Adelaide Oval team is constantly striving to ensure the Oval provides a sense of belonging for all South Australians. These efforts will be further enhanced through the additional awareness and training we receive as part of our Guide Dogs SA/NT collaboration.’

To mark the start of the two-year partnership, Guide Dogs SA/NT client and state blind cricketer, Arron Lyall, stepped out on to Adelaide Oval with his Guide Dog, Helix.

‘Adelaide Oval is an amazing place and it was an absolute honour to step out on the lawn to celebrate this partnership,’ Arron said. ‘I made sure I bent down to touch the lawn and really take it all in.’

‘This partnership combines two things I really love: Guide Dogs, who have helped me so much, as well as cricket and sport which is quickly becoming a bigger part of my life.’
