Paw Prints Spring 2016

September 01, 2016
A woman hugs her Guide Dog affectionately.

The latest edition of Paw Prints newsletter is now available! Find out what has been happening at Guide Dogs, thanks to your suppawt. Read inspirational stories about the people you are helping and the wonderful ways in which you can become involved.

You’ll notice that there is only one newsletter this time around. To save on costs and to provide all our suppawters with more news, we have combined the printing of the SA and NT newsletters. We have provided several variable pages within the newsletter to highlight the different things going on in SA and NT. Please refer to the below links (SA or NT) – pages 12, 14 and 15 for the variable pages.

Highlights in this edition include an update on Alisha who was featured in our Christmas appeal. Thanks to you, she is one step closer to being matched with a Guide Dog to help her on her way to a more independent life.

Learn about the impact made on the rights of people in SA living with vision impairment, by late Malcolm Penn, as told by his wife Rosemary. The whole Penn family are long-time supporters of Guide Dogs and continue to make an impact in this space.

Perhaps the most heart-warming story in this edition is a look back on how far young Riley has come after being matched with Autism Assistance Dog, Blake, as part of the pilot program seven years ago. His progress and the bond he and Blake share is truly amazing.

I hope you enjoy reading about how you have helped changed the lives of people like Alisha and Riley, and how your continued support will continue to change many more.
